Stamped concrete's hardness poses a safety hazard, the same as any other concrete, under many conditions. A few of those are all to commonly taken for granted.

Take the time to follow and practice safety precautions; Especially With Children!

  • Do not run or make sudden movements around pool and spa area's. More accidents and hospital bills are created this way than any other concrete related mishap.
  • Remove ice and snow from driveways and sidewalks during winter. Not only is it a Colorado state law to remove ice from adjoining sidewalks, it's safer for everyone!
  • Do not place objects in walkways or paths which may lead to an accident under adverse lighting/weather conditions.
  • Do not leave small children unattended at locations having water hazards.
  • When working with pool chemicals and acids, observe the safety precautions on the products to prevent unwanted trips to the hospital. Sulphuric acid, even in high dilution, can burn the skin and cause damage to ANY concrete surface.
  • When attempting concrete patchwork, work with rubber kitchen gloves to prevent the concrete from getting on your hands. Concrete can dry skin out in a matter of minutes!
  • Keep your concrete space organized. Toys and other child related objects pose a serious obstacle hazard when unnoticed!

There are numerous "common sense" checks that everyone can practice to make our artificial environments a safer and trouble-free place!
