So what keeps the concrete from sticking to the stamp?... We put a chemical release powder on the surface of the partially cured concrete. This powder (no VOC's!) keeps 99% of the un-cured concrete off of the stamping form. Releases are also used in combination with pigments to provide an "antique" look. After the concrete stamping mats have been tamped down to the proper depth with the proper pressure, The mats are removed and the concrete is given time to cure a little longer.

The release, after adequate curing time, is then scrubbed, hosed, and/or pressure washed off of the surface of the concrete. Once again, the weather comes into play here, and rainy and/or cold spells can affect the time needed to complete the stamped concrete project. PC&C uses updated equipment and techniques to facilitate getting your project completed on time! ... and properly!
The combination of colored concrete and stamped concrete styles offers virtually infinite style possibilities. Whether you want a yellow brick walkway winding through the center of your backyard garden or a light green slate patio deck with a dolphin motif border around your pool deck, the ideas and applications are endless!
